You may benefit from taking SPRAVATO ® with or without an oral antidepressant if you’re an adult with major depressive disorder (MDD) who has had an inadequate response to two or more oral antidepressants, known as treatment-resistant depression (TRD).

SPRAVATO® is an FDA-approved nasal spray for treatment-resistant depression; it is also approved to treat depressive symptoms in adults with major depressive disorder with suicidal thoughts or actions. Ketamine has not been approved by the FDA to treat depression.

Because of the risks for sedation, dissociation, respiratory depression, and abuse and misuse, SPRAVATO ® is only available through a restricted program called the SPRAVATO ® Risk Evaluation and Mitigation Strategy (REMS) Program.
