The Molly McIntire doll (Classic/2022 Meet). The Molly McIntire doll was released in 1986, along with Kirsten Larson and Samantha Parkington. They were American Girl's first three Historical Characters. Molly was retired along with Emily Bennett in 2013.

Molly was the first character and doll to be marketed with glasses, and the only one until the release of Z as part of the contemporary line; however unlike Molly, Z's glasses are sold separately. However, Summer McKinny was released with glasses bundled with her doll.
