Dior Hypnotic poison is a INE YOUR FACE PUNCH of black licorice candy or root beer, as a matter of opinion, with a hint of vanilla bourbon and playdoh. None of those scents are in So Elixer Purple. Just because the ad campaigns use similar color schemes (dark purple/Dark Burgundy) does not mean the fragrance is similar at all.

Oct 28, 2024 · Even though Pure Purple didn't turn out to be sensual, I rate it highly as it possesses the most natural smelling marzipan note. I am unable to smell the base notes, so amber and leather lovers may be disappointed. Pure Purple stays close to the skin but lingers for good 5 hours. Loveable. Great for gourmand lovers.

Mar 2, 2019 · I mainly get cool, soapy evergreens supported by clean, powdery purple florals and herbal rosemary. There's a slight minty aspect from the rosemary in the opening and a clean, sparkly patchouli in the base. This was a breath of fresh air in today's sea of uninspiring, $120 "cologne guy" releases.

God I miss this perfume! I wore this in the early 90's when I was a little teenie bopper. It always had a calming, comforting quality to it for me. Smelled like being in shaded, wooded land of tranquility. Does anyone out there use Revlon's Colorsilk Hair Dye by any chance? I can smell Aspen in the complimentary conditioner packet-no joke!

Update: Well, the 2002 version is superior, to my nose, primarily because of the sandalwood base and the headier aromatic notes, and, perhaps most of all, the night-blooming cereus. It's deeper (literally a dark amber fluid), and it would stain your clothing if you sprayed it on something that wasn't, say, black or dark brown.
