Apr 29, 2022 · After assuming office in January of 2021, President Biden expanded the scope of assistance FEMA could provide for the pandemic, including full federal reimbursement for a wide range of ongoing emergency response measures undertaken by state, local, tribal, and territorial (SLTT) governments and healthcare providers.

This document outlines how FEMA has adapted response and recovery operations to the realities and risks of COVID-19 in 2021, including ensuring equity in this new environment, and enable SLTT emergency managers to better prepare and plan accordingly.
