Mar 13, 2022 · I have exactly this ARC issue, HOWEVER, I have only one hdmi cable that works flawlessly. All the other 7-8 hdmi cables that I have presents these dropouts, specially when you use the remote with CEC enabled (then it drops immediatelly). I tried buying a more expensive HDMI 2.1 cable, but still the same problem.

Dec 1, 2015 · If you use ARC, which is bi-directional audio, you can not send HD Audio. The only advantage of ARC is the elimination of an optical cable. For ARC to work, both devices have to be ARC capable. In other words the soundbar as well as the HDMI connected device both have to be ARC capable and have ARC enabled.

Apr 15, 2024 · Hdmi 2 acting strange after a week or so. Cant reset it. Same cable, same everything works perfect in hdmi 4. Earc still works with hdmi 2 so ive had to run 2 display outs from my processor. It works for now but i cant seem to get it to stop doing this regardless of power cycling the tv, or just going to another app like channels, as suggested.

Aug 17, 2013 · An ARC-enabled AVR will have a menu option to allow selection of standard HDMI audio or the ARC audio for the HDMI input dedicated to ARC. If your AVR is not ARC-enabled, you can get the same audio by connecting an optical (or coax, if available) digital audio output from the TV to the AVR, as Otto mentioned.

Jul 25, 2023 · HDMI 2 out of the receiver (which is labeled as ARC) is connected to HDMI 3 on the C8. So, if I want to use the ATV4k, I have to select HDMI 2 on the receiver and HDMI 3 on the C8. That way the tv knows that the signal source is the ATV4k so the audio is played via the receiver and the video is passed on to the C8.

Feb 6, 2017 · Is it possible there's a device out there that supports essentially being an HDMI-ARC audio device that passes through to an HDMI 1.3 receiver which doesn't support ARC? Reason for this, I'd like to use my smart TV's software without buying a 3rd-party box and the only way to do this is to fake the TV into thinking my receiver supports ARC.

Jul 31, 2021 · I have my console directly connected to the the TV's HDMI 1 port. All ports are 2.1 and I'm utilising the 2.1 features. There was also an option in my TV's input settings called 2.1 eARC; it made no difference to the audio delay turning that on or off. That options seems to have gone missing, I don't know why.

Select "TV AUDIO" from the input source select buttons on the remote control or the receiver. You should now be able to output the TV audio through your AV receiver.
