Rapper Busta Rhymes will receive the first ever MTV VMA Rock the Bells Visionary Award and Ricky Martin will be honored with the inaugural Latin Icon Award.

LL Cool J is returning to the VMAs stage to host the 2025 MTV VMAs. The rapper previously cohosted the 2022 awards show with Nicki Minaj and Jack Harlow. He also was the first rapper to receive the Video Vanguard Award in 1997.

Sombr’s highly anticipated album, I Barely Know Her, drops on August 22, and in a few weeks, he’s set to make his awards show debut at the VMAs.
