A massive sinkhole closed lanes of East Joppa Road at the intersection of Walther Boulevard Thursday. One lane is open, but machines are still working throughout the night. Sign up for our Newsletters The Baltimore City Department of Public Works responded to the incident and told 11 News the collapse of the road happened due to a 12-inch water main break.

Police are responding to a watermain break in the area of High Street in Vernon. A sink hole is also on McLean Street, police said. Connecticut Water responded to the scene. There are some road closures as a result.
