GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- A Grand Rapids man shot by police for charging at them with a box cutter has been sentenced to more than 10 years in prison for two crimes. Nodin Chervenka, 20, was sentenced Monday, Aug. 18 on charges of felonious assault, torture and resisting and obstructing police.
