Several new road closures surrounding the Palisades Fire and Eaton Fire were announced Thursday morning as nearly 7,500 personnel battle the flames across Los Angeles County and tens of thousands of people remain under evacuation.

Officials are asking people to avoid the roads still open near the fire areas if possible, especially in West Los Angeles.

Firefighters are battling several major fires that include the Palisades Fire west of Los Angeles, the Eaton Fire north of Pasadena, and the Hurst Fire in the San Fernando Valley.
