It's a new day in NXT as both Oba Femi & Giulia captured the brand's ultimate prizes Tuesday night at New Year's Evil.

Oba Femi is the new NXT Champion. At NXT New Year’s Evil, he defeated Trick Williams and Eddy Thorpe in a three-way match to become the new champion. This ends Williams’ reign with the championship after 93 days, when he defeated Ethan Page for the title during NXT’s premiere on the CW back on October 1.

Multiple matches have been announced for the January 14th episode of WWE NXT. As announced at NXT New Year’s Evil, OTM (Bronco Nima & Lucien Price) will challenge Nathan Frazer and Axiom for the NXT Tag Team Championship.

In the opening match of NXT New Year’s Evil in Los Angeles, Giulia kicked off the new year by defeating Roxanne Perez for the NXT Women’s title. This ends Perez’s 274 day reign with the title after defeating Lyra Valkyria at NXT Stand and Deliver last April.

Stephanie Vaquer earned a shot at the NXT Women’s North American Championship at WWE NXT New Year’s Evil. At WWE NXT New Year’s Evil, Stephanie Vaquer faced Kelani Jordan, Cora Jade, and Lola Vice in a Number One Contender’s Match for the NXT Women’s North American Championship.

WWE NXT's New Year’s Evil on January 7, 2025, featured exhilarating matches and significant title changes at The Shrine Expo Hall in Los Angeles. Giulia won the NXT Women’s Championship, while Oba Femi captured the NXT Championship.
