ST. JOSEPH, Mo. (AP) — Rashee Rice will be a full participant in training camp, Chiefs coach Andy Reid said Sunday, three days after the standout wide receiver was sentenced to 30 days in jail after authorities said he and another speeding driver caused a chain-reaction crash that left multiple people injured on a Dallas highway last year.

The Chiefs first seven games are against the Los Angeles Chargers, the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles, New York Giants, Baltimore Ravens, Jacksonville Jaguars, Detroit Lions and Las Vegas Raiders. If Rice is suspended seven games, he would be able to make his return on October 27 against the Washington Commanders .

The NFL issued a public statement Thursday following Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice's sentencing to five years probation and 30 days in jail.
