Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta issued an injury update on club captain Martin Ødegaard ahead of the Gunners' Champions League tie against Atalanta. Arsenal's captain was substituted off for Norway over the international break and looked to be in severe pain.

Mikel Arteta has confirmed Arsenal will be without Martin Odegaard for a while after scans revealed he has suffered ‘significant’ ankle ligament damage. The Gunners captain was forced off injured while playing for Norway during September’s international break.
