The foreign ministers of 25 Western nations have slammed Israel for “drip feeding” aid into the Gaza Strip, as the health ministry in the territory said that more than 1,000 people have been killed seeking humanitarian relief there since late May.

Gaza's Hamas-run health ministry says 33 people have died from malnutrition in the last 48 hours, including 12 children.

The joint statement comes as Palestinians face worsening starvation, daily massacres at "aid sites" and the ongoing blockade of humanitarian assistance.

Foreign Affairs Minister Anita Anand and 24 of her counterparts abroad have signed a joint statement saying "the war in Gaza must end now," while calling on Israel to stop displacing Palestinians.

Tens of thousands of people were warned to flee the city, where many displaced Palestinians have been sheltering and it's thought some Israeli hostages are held.

Abu Shabab even hinted at a future in politics: "We will be what our people want us to be. We will not impose any political system on their will."

In remarks on the House floor Thursday, Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) spoke about her amendment to stop funding for Israel's defense from being sent.

Humanitarian officials see a pattern of Israel retaliating against those who criticize its conduct in Gaza and toward Palestinians.
