A visitation was held Thursday for fallen Illinois State Police Trooper Clay Carns, who was killed last week in a crash while he was clearing debris on I-55.
Illinois State Police say a trooper is dead after being struck by a vehicle on Interstate 55 outside Chicago. Trooper Clay Carns was on I-55 around 9:45 p.m.
