A Trump administration official says the Minnesota college student detained recently by ICE had his visa revoked over alleged drunken driving, and not related to pro-Palestinian protests.

Rumeysa Ozturk, 30, was then taken into federal custody and quickly moved to an ICE detention center in Louisiana, where she became the latest in a growing number of students who’ve had their visas revoked for participating in Palestinian protests.

A Department of Homeland Security spokesperson says that Rumeysa Ozturk 'engaged in activities in support of Hamas' while her attorney calls her detention 'concerning.'
