President Trump’s admission that presidential immunity could help President Obama evade prosecution for what Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard calls “treasonous conspiracy” amounts to a reckoning with the consequences of the 47th president’s most consequential legal victory.

President Trump said Friday that former President Barack Obama “owes me big” for a US Supreme Court ruling that grants immunity for presidential acts. Trump — who scored the sweeping ruling last year — had accused Obama earlier this week of treason and sedition for ordering up a spy-agency report on Russia’s alleged role in the 2016 election.

"We definitely had the intel," Susan Miller, who helped oversee the 2017 intelligence assessment of Russia's efforts in the 2016 election, told NBC News.
