Everest Group (NYSE:EG) said Wednesday that Juan C. Andrade, who has served as President and CEO since 2020, has stepped down from his role to pursue a new position as CEO of a financial services firm.

The USAA Board of Directors announced the appointment of Juan C. Andrade as its next president and CEO, effective April 2.

Juan C. Andrade has been named president and CEO of USAA, succeeding Wayne Peacock after his five-year tenure. Andrade, with decades of industry and public service experience, will lead the company through ongoing organisational restructuring and focus on serving military families,

After a four-year stint as Everest’s chief executive, Juan Andrade is stepping down to become USAA’s CEO and president, effective April 2, 2025. He replaces Wayne Peacock, who announced his retirement from the company last August.

USAA has named board member Juan C. Andrade as its next leader, replacing retiring CEO and President Wayne Peacock. Andrade will be the second chief executive without a military background to lead the San Antonio-based insurance and financial services company, which is one of the city’s largest employers.

Everest Group has appointed Jim Williamson as acting CEO in place of the departing Juan Andrade. Williamson also joins Everest’s board of directors with immediate effect.
