Two people on a scooter stole a pet bulldog on Wednesday in Dorchester, police said. The owners of the French bulldog, named Bodega, last saw it playing in their yard. The dog wandered from the area around 4:30 p.m. and was picked up by a pair on a scooter, police said.

Detectives said French Bulldog, named Bodega, wandered from the area and was picked up by two people on a scooter around 4:30 p.m. Wednesday, who were last seen with the dog in the area of Ceylon Street and Quincy Street.

A person was hospitalized after being shot Thursday afternoon in Dorchester, Boston police said. Officers responded around 5:15 p.m. to Callendar Street after a report of a person shot. The victim was taken to an area hospital with a gunshot wound.
