Matt Vierling snapped a 1-1 tie with a single in the eighth inning as the Tigers beat the Rangers to end a 6-game losing streak.

Tarik Skubal delivered a passionate message following a solid performance on the mound in the Tigers' 2-1 win over the Rangers on Sunday.

After six shutout innings, Skubal took a 1-0 lead into the seventh. A one-out double by Adolis Garcia and a single by Kyle Higashioka put the tying run at third. Skubal then won an eight-pitch battle to strike out Jonah Heim.
