CDPR Prepared For The Witcher 4 By Having Devs Make A Fresh Quest In Witcher 3
Developers created a new quest for The Witcher 3 as preparation for The Witcher 4. There's no doubt that CD Projekt RED (CDPR) has used the learning it obtained from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and will apply it to The Witcher 4. However, it seems the devs even used the previous entry in the franchise after its current-gen patch was pushed out.

"New designers and writers worked on it preparing for the Witcher 4, together with one of our most senior quest designers, who is with us since the Witcher 1," Weber wrote. "All in all, it was the perfect start to getting back into the vibe."
