Kansas head coach Bill Self provided an update on his health following a recent health scare that required a hospitalization.

Kansas head men’s basketball coach Bill Self spoke with the media today, “I’m probably doing about as well as you can do,” Self said. Back in late July, Self underwent a procedure to insert two stents.

Self, entering his 23rd season as Kansas coach, met with media Friday for the first time since his hospitalization July 24 when, according to the university, Self “felt unwell and experienced some concerning symptoms.” Self, who was released from the hospital on July 26, said Friday he would be able to coach a game tomorrow if Kansas played.
