Yaroslav Askarov made 24 saves and stopped all 11 shots he faced in the third period as the San Jose Sharks snapped an eight-game losing streak with a 2-1 win over the Tampa Bay Lightning.

The San Jose Sharks announced they have recalled goaltender Yaroslav Askarov from their AHL affiliate San Jose Barracuda. Askarov was sent back to the AHL on Nov. 26 after playing his first two games for the Sharks where he posted a 1-0-1 record with a .927 SP and 1.96 GAA.
