Nvidia’s dominance over the latest generation of graphics cards ends today. AMD might have surrendered the high end of the GPU market, but its new $549 Radeon RX 9070 and $599 RX 9070 XT look set to bring Nvidia back to reality, at least in the midrange.

The AMD Radeon RX 9070 launches March 6, starting at $549. However, this is just the starting price, and there will likely be many models that are more expensive. If you are going to get a 9070, my advice would be to get one as close to the starting price as possible, just because it's priced so closely to the Radeon RX 9070 XT.

At $600, AMD's Radeon RX 9070 XT is just where it needs to be to compete for 4K gaming against the Nvidia GeForce RTX 5070 Ti.
