The United Kingdom appears set to host the 2035 Women's World Cup after FIFA President Gianni Infantino on Thursday described its interest as the "one valid bid" for the tournament.

The United States will be the host nation for the 2031 Women's World Cup, FIFA president Gianni Infantino said on Thursday. Infantino also announced that the 2035 global soccer competition will take place in the United Kingdom.
From her time on the pitch at Ohio State University to representing the Switzerland women's national team, Lara Dickenmann has carved out an impressive career. The Swiss midfielder hung up her cleats in 2021, ending one of the most successful runs ever—including 53 goals scored in international play and multiple Champions League titles.
Gianni Infantino revealed that a joint expression of interest in hosting the tournament from the UK nations was the only valid one received.
Lauren Sesselmann was a long-time defender on Canada's National Soccer Team, and played on the squad from 2011-15. She currently plays for the Santa Clarita Blue Heat.
Gianni Infantino told European soccer officials that the lone bid to host the 2031 event was from the United States.
While the U.S. have already hosted the tournament twice, 2035 would be the first Women's World Cup to be held in the UK. The Lionesses won their last home tournament -- Euro 2022
