WhatsApp is adding new choices for customizing your chats, with both preset themes and mix-and-match colors for backgrounds and chat bubbles, as well as a selection of 30 new wallpapers.

WhatsApp is turning up the customization features for chats by including new theme options, custom colors for chat bubbles, and a bunch of new wallpapers to choose from. A new blog post says the feature is rolling out now and will be available globally “over the coming weeks.”

WhatsApp has launched a new update for iOS and Android, introducing the Chat Theme feature. Users can now personalize individual chats with 22 presets and 30 wallpapers, adjusting brightness and outgoing message colors,

To set up the new themes for all your chats, go to Settings > Chats > Default Chat Theme. To customise chats individually, tap on the chat name at the top (on iOS) or use the 3-dot menu (on Android) to find the Chat Theme option. From there, you can select and adjust your choice of theme.
