A school bus crash that injured its driver and four students from Communications High School on Thursday morning was caused when a GMC van struck the back of the bus on I-195 East, according to New Jersey State Police.

One student was seriously injured and four others were hurt after a school bus flipped on I-195 in New Jersey on the morning of Thursday, March 27.

A school bus crash on I-195 in the Monmouth County town of Wall Township sent five people to a hospital and shut down the roadway Thursday morning. Police said it appears the bus collided with a GMC van shortly before 7:30 a.m. near Exit 35-B at Atlantic Avenue, but added the cause of the collision remains under investigation.
