Paramount debuts the first trailer for Smurfs, a new live-action/animated movie featuring the lovable blue cartoon characters.

With the help of new friends, the Smurfs must discover what defines their destiny to save the universe. The film is produced by Jay Brown, Ty Ty Smith, Rihanna and Ryan Harris. It is written by Pam Brady and directed by Chris Mille.

It’s been a few years since they last blue up, but the Smurfs are back. Paramount Pictures has unveiled the first full trailer for its upcoming musical film “Smurfs,” which features a starry cast that includes Rihanna as the voice of Smurfette.
