An outbreak of severe weather will continue for one more day as it brings the risk of strong tornadoes, widespread damaging winds, hail and flooding rain to portions of the Midwest and South on Tuesday.

Severe weather slammed several states in the Upper Midwest Thursday, dropping a few funnel clouds and likely tornadoes in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

The National Weather Service said, based on preliminary information, the tornado that slammed into St. Louis was at least an EF-3, with winds of up to 140 mph.
