The elementary school has a high percentage of emergent bilingual students who are learning English as a second language.

Community members saw updated designs Tuesday of the new Grand Rapids elementary planned on the site Aberdeen Academy.

In collaboration with the College of Education, the Art Atelier, a professional program within the University of West Georgia’s art department, completed a mural for UWG’s Early Learning Center.
