Organizations and communities across the nation are celebrating Black History Month, not just to celebrate Black history, to be teach it and its importance.

We put together a list of family-friendly events to celebrate Black History Month. Here are some events and things you can do all month long.

The Main Library welcomes kids ages 6-10 to celebrate Black History Month with games, activities and crafts that teach them about famous Black figures throughout American history. A jazz musical and lecture to learn more about African immigrants will be offered at select libraries.
