When you see Mack Hollins out and about in Foxboro or warming up for the New England Patriots, there's a good chance your attention will go right to his feet.

Mack Hollins arrived at his introductory press conference with the Patriots in only a way Mack Hollins can: shoeless. That's right. As captured by ESPN's Mike Reiss, the 31-year-old wide receiver entered the media workroom to speak with reporters on Friday rocking a sweatshirt and pants—but with nothing on his feet.

Hollins, 31, is a veteran of eight NFL seasons with Philadelphia (2017-19), Miami (2019-21), Las Vegas (2022), Atlanta (2023) and Buffalo (2024). The 6-foot-4, 221-pounder, originally entered the NFL as a fourth-round draft pick (118th overall) by Philadelphia in the 2017 NFL Draft out of North Carolina.

Mack Hollins is known for his classic barefoot look, and he brought that with him to New England, as the new Patriots receiver walked into his introductory press conference with no shoes on. So, that prompted a question about what's behind this iconic tradition.
