Anyone wishing to support the Manos De Cristo Back-to-School Program, by underwriting the cost of a child’s clothing and supplies, can visit ManosDeCristo.org or call 512-477-7454.

Children in the program who attended Monday’s event each received a back-to-school backpack filled with essentials. The backpacks included clothing, undergarments and socks.

The Sanford School Committee voted to keep the program in next year's budget, but the City Council could still send the budget back to the committee to make more cuts.
