Tesla raised the prices of its Model X cars in the United States by $5,000 on Thursday, according to its website.

The BYD Seal offering is simpler, with just the £45,695 Seal Design and the £48,695 Seal Excellent AWD to pick from. Both have the same battery but the cheaper model has a single motor driving the rear wheels, while the pricier car has two motors and all-wheel-drive.

Tesla has raised the price of its Model X SUV by $5,000 across the lineup. The Model X now lists at $84,990 for an All-Wheel Drive trim and $99,990 for a Plaid performance trim. Tesla did not announce the reason for the adjustment,
