Auburn has taken a recruiting loss to Michigan State, as three-star cornerback TJ Umenyiora, who listed the Tigers among his top two choices, committed to the Spartans on Saturday.

Another new cornerback is on the board for Auburn, with the Tigers offering TJ Umenyiora earlier this week. And, he already has an official visit set to get down to the Plains and check things out.

He is the ninth commitment in the past two weeks for head coach Jonathan Smith. Currently the Spartans have 13 total commits.
