A winter storm could blanket snow across parts of the Northeast on Sunday night. Here's what forecasters think this storm could mean for New England and for Washington D.C. before the inauguration.

A NWS forecaster said Massachusetts will see at most two inches of snowfall from the storm this weekend. Most parts of the state, including Worcester, Boston and the South Shore, are expected to get less than an inch of snow.

If the winter storm hits Massachusetts this weekend, it could bring up to three inches of snow, according to Caitlyn Mensch, a NWS meteorologist. "A lot of the times of storms like these can vary," Mensch said.
