House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries sidestepped SEVERAL questions about the apparent resignation of Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer to vote for the continuing budget resolution passed by House Republicans and avoid a government shutdown.

Many Senate Democrats in states that voted for President Donald Trump plan to vote against the Republican-led government funding bill, even after Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) said at least eight Democrats would support the measure.

The bill, which would allow the city to continue operating under its 2025 budget, still needs to be approved by the House to go into effect.
