NASA is racing itself to the Moon in a new Space Race, pitting contractors against each other to produce the most cost-effective means of delivering astronauts to space. However, some of the agency’s partners simply aren’t delivering.

NASA's plagued Space Launch System rocket, which is being developed to deliver the first astronauts to the lunar surface in over half a century, is on thin ice. According to Ars Technica senior space reporter Eric Berger's insider sources,
