According to the sheriff's office, Victor Krvaric, 24, was arrested for possession of an assault weapon after deputies served a search warrant at a home in the 11000 block of Ann Arbor Lane.

Victor Krvaric, 24, was arrested Thursday at a home owned by his father, former- County Republican Party chair Tony Krvaric.

The son of the former chairman for County's Republican Party was arrested on a weapons charge, the County Sheriff's Office confirmed to ABC 10News Friday afternoon.

He is accused of possessing an assault weapon. Bail was set at $25,000 with arraignment scheduled for the afternoon of Sept. 26, He was released shortly after 8:30 p.m. His father, Tony Krvaric, was chair of the Republican Party of San Diego County for 14 years,
