Virat Kohli brushed off ongoing fitness speculation but was one of several batters to be caught behind the wicket during an intra-squad simulation at the WACA.

India's Test squad held match simulations in Perth, with Virat Kohli batting without any discomfort following a precautionary scan. KL Rahul, however, was hit by a ball and unable to continue batting,

Virat Kohli is done for the day. After initial discomfort against Krishna and Reddy, Kohli slowly got into a rhythm and had more authority in his strokeplay, but decided to walk off the field with his score at 30.

While KL Rahul was taken off the field following suffering a blow to his right elbow of a rising delivery from lanky Prasidh Krishna, Jaiswal edged one to the second slip on 15.
