The San Francisco Giants are officially dealing with an injury bug as their starting catcher goes to the injured list a day after their third baseman.

Logan Porter battled traffic and airport security to get to Denver, and the San Francisco Giants catcher played in his first big league game since 2023. San Francisco Giants placed Patrick Bailey on the 10-day injured list with a strained neck on Wednesday and selected the contract of Porter from Triple-A Sacramento.

A day after third baseman Matt Chapman landed on the injured list due to right-hand inflammation, the Giants placed catcher Patrick Bailey on the 10-day IL with a neck strain.
