For the second year in a row, Melyssa Lombardi and Oregon will face Patty Gasso and Oklahoma with the season on the line.

According to the College Football Headlines X/Twitter account, Evan Stewart suffered a torn patellar tendon and will miss the entire 2025 season. Stewart helped Oregon to a Rose Bowl appearance, where they fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, who went on to win the national championship.

The Oregon Ducks have a lot to prove entering the 2025 college football season, looking to show that their Big Ten Championship a year ago was far from a fluke while also establishing themselves as national championship contenders once again under Dan Lanning in his fourth year at the helm.

Notably, Oregon’s law would provide up to 26 weeks of unemployment benefits to striking workers, compared with a limit of six weeks under Washington’s new law. Oregon’s striking workers would have to wait two weeks before they could collect unemployment. Some critical public safety workers, like police, are not allowed to strike in Oregon.
