Nvidia is developing a new AI chip for China based on its latest Blackwell architecture that will be more powerful than the H20 model it is currently allowed to sell there, two people briefed on the matter said.

U.S. chipmaker Nvidia is preparing a new chip for the Chinese market that's even faster than its controversial H20. The chip, tentatively known as the B30A, would be built on Nvidia's newest Blackwell architecture to deliver about half the performance of the company’s flagship B300.
