A Polish metal detectorist recently found a medieval pilgrim's badge made from lead and alloy. The badges were worn by pilgrims to distinguish themselves and ward off evil.

The badge has a blue emblem similar to the city seal in the center of the silvery medal, emblazoned with the Council member’s name. It sits in a wallet-like holder next to an ID card.
