Chris Paul hinted at wanting to return to Los Angeles this offseason to be with his family, beginning the circulation of L.A. Lakers rumors.

Back in late 2011, just after the NBA lockout had been resolved, the Los Angeles Lakers appeared to have landed future Hall of Fame guard Chris Paul in a major trade. But that trade was blocked by then-commissioner David Stern, who was acting as the owner of the New Orleans Hornets, Paul's team at the time.

Chris Paul doesn't have much time left in the NBA. At 40 years old, much like anyone else, Paul has plenty of miles on his odometer. He's impressively good enough to still play at an NBA level, but not much longer.
