LAHORE: A Pakistani YouTube star who was gifted a lion cub on his wedding day has avoided jail after promising a judge to upload animal rights videos for a year. Rajab Butt has one of the largest online followings in the South Asian country and his week-long nuptials in late December were plastered over celebrity gossip websites.

Three young mountain lion cubs that were found orphaned in San Mateo County are being treated at the Oakland Zoo after being rescued by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW).

A trio of orphaned mountain lion cubs was rescued in Portola Valley and brought to Oakland Zoo for rehabilitation.

Authorities believe their mother was hit and killed by a vehicle in the Portola Valley area of San Mateo County in the San Francisco Bay Area, zoo officials said. The mountain lion carcass has since vanished, so they can’t confirm her relationship to the cubs through DNA.
