Donald Trump and Kamala Harris agree on this much: Groceries cost too much. But despite promises from each presidential candidate that they’ll take bold steps to stop the price madness, experts say there’s probably little they can do.

The remarkable utterance underscored Democrats’ increasing comfort with the country’s gun culture, and how Harris is trying to use it to puncture notions about female candidates.

Harris previously mentioned that she owned a gun during her 2020 bid for the Democratic presidential nominee. She revealed she owned a gun for personal safety. A Harris aide told CNN this month that her gun was a pistol tiny enough to fit in a small purse.

This is Harris' first visit to Madison and fourth overall to Wisconsin since launching her presidential campaign. Harris' last Wisconsin rally was at Milwaukee's Fiserv Forum on Aug. 20, appearing along with running mate Tim Walz during the second night of the Democratic National Convention.
