Central Pennsylvania residents should prepare for a potentially wet and stormy Sunday as the possibility of widespread thunderstorms is forecast across the region. A flash flood watch in effect for all of southwestern Pennsylvania. Heavy rainfall, gusty winds, and localized flooding are the primary weather concerns through Monday night.

A flood watch has been issued for several western Pennsylvania counties. The National Weather Service said a flood warning is in effect from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.Sunday for the following counties: Allegheny, Beaver, Fayette, Westmoreland, Washington, and Greene.
