ESPN's Jorge Castillo predicted Tuesday morning in a new article that the Yanks will call up Pittsburgh to make it happen.
The Cardinals had a reasonable plan with starting pitcher Erick Fedde. President of baseball operations John Mozeliak hoped the team would stay competitive during his farewell season. Keeping Fedde would help the team do that while also allowing the organization’s pitching prospects to develop without rushing.
The St. Louis Cardinals designated Erick Fedde for assignment after acquiring him in a trade with the White Sox and Dodgers last season.
