Sapphire, caught fire near Baltimore's Key Bridge, leading to an explosion heard by eyewitnesses. Thankfully, no injuries were reported among the 23 crew and two pilots. The fire was contained by Baltimore's fire department and efforts to remove the ship from the harbor are underway.

An explosion aboard a massive coal ship in Baltimore Harbor has shut down the Fort McHenry Federal Channel, the same stretch of water where the Key Bridge collapsed earlier this year, officials said.

Beginning in September, engineers will test long, cylindrical columns that will ultimately form the new Key Bridge’s base.

This salvage crew began removing containers from a cargo ship, that collided with the bridge in Baltimore. The impact of the collision was such that the bridge collapsed and tumbled down . The crew could be seen using cranes to unload the containers from the damaged ship.
