A particularly determined Aussie has swapped in a twin-turbo Toyota Supra engine good for 284 horsepower. Sure, the V8s will bump out that pony count all day, but they won't have that inline-six wail.

Or, more likely, that twin-turbo V8 and that platform could be restricted and reworked to remake the Supra. Either way, Toyota doesn't necessarily need any help keeping the Supra alive.

Talk of a twin-turbo V6 for the new Lexus GS and LS has us wondering if this engine will make it into the hypothetical Toyota Supra and BMW Z5. the partnership with BMW have only fueled the fire.
